Very satisfied with Highland's work on our roof. Of all the companies called, they came out for the estimate when they said they would and gave us a reasonable estimate. We expected the roof to be stared mid-December but they called on a Wednesday saying they could start the following day and they were done halfway through Friday. Outside our home is clean, the guys were professional and the dumpster was gone and didn't sit all weekend. They fixed some things we didn't know were wrong and were honest all the way around. Very happy we went with Highland and the work they did.

Phil and Highland Contractors did a rubber roof on my 9 car garage a couple years ago, with careful attention to details around the peaks, trim pieces, seams, and front facet with architectural shingles. I get compliments on a job well done from my friends and neighbors. Today, they just finished my main roof on my multi-family house on Park Ave between Meigs and Alexander - truly designing a solution end-to-end for my 100 year old house that had poor attic venting and ice build-up. Anyway, they did it again, perfect work, well executed. In short, they are a GOOD VALUE... do not go to them if you are looking for a cheap short-term fix...they do it right the first time - so it lasts a long time... For that, I don't mind paying - highland contractors is my source!
Asked for an estimate. I was told that it will cost me $150 to have a FREE estimate done. Unbelievable!
I heard their name around town and decided to give them a shot on getting roof and siding done after a wind storm. I guess they think they can charge for FREE estimate, that everyone gives for real free. Don't bother. Find honest people who would not charge for a FREE estimate. As you guessed, I did not deal with them.
Hank Hogan gave us our estimate which the insurance company was more than willing to honor. This means that his estimate was right on the mark. No taking advantage of the fact that there was a lot of damage in Rochester and lots of work to be had. The company was fair! In addition, they were able to squeeze us in early and complete the work quickly. The crew, bless them, were professional and answered all of our questions. In addition, they completely, and I mean completely, cleaned up the site. They even picked bits and pieces of roofing material out of my rose bushes. I cannot rave enough about this company and the work that they did on our home.
